On the H other hand,, former Congressman W'll- liam Kent, who described himself as an Independent while in congress, though he had been Republican prior to his election, has declared his intention in-tention to run for the senate, but will not enter the primaries, but rather make the race as an Independent candidate can-didate after the primaries are over. In many respects Johnson and Kent stand on common ground; their attitude atti-tude on public Issues, is much the same, neither is acceptable to the regular reg-ular Republican faction in California-Senator California-Senator Johnson Is miffed.
