A statement state-ment was Issued yestorday by the California commlttoe of producers and shippers, which Is said by Call-fornlans Call-fornlans hero to be backed by the Union Paclflo railroad, as follows "Producers and shippers of the Pacific Pa-cific coast have filed complaint with the department of Justlco against the activities of the Southern Pacific railway rail-way In endeavoring to create sentiment senti-ment and action against the derision of the supreme court which ordered the dissolution of its partnership with the Central Pacific railroad "The assistant attorney general's, office announced that the petition 1 against the efforts of the 8outhe.rn Pacific would be considered by th? department prior to the next hearing on the, dissolution case, which will be held before the district court of Utah, which will have charge of tho dissolution procedure. ' The protests made to the department depart-ment are bused on tho efforts of the Southern Pacific railway to stampede tho commercial organizations Into supporting Its attempt to evado the Intent of the supreme court decision.
