Show I COUNTY SCHOOLS TAKE PART M GRADUATING EXERCISES The Ogden tabernacle was crowded , th1 forenoon with the relatives and friends of the graduating students 'from tho Weber county -schools Frofessor X Alvln Peterson of the ;utah Agricultural college delivered tho commencement address and prior to the presentation of the certificate by Superintendent B. A. Fowler to the graduates, John Halls, member of th' Weber count board of education, educa-tion, made a brief spe, h The program began with a chorus of 500 county school children sing-zing sing-zing "Welcome Sweet Springtime. ' which was followed by the Invocation delivered by M. P. Brown of Roy The school chorus then sang Believe Be-lieve Me If All Those Endearing Youns Charms,'' and the "Clang: of the Forge " Adrian Burnett of Eden delivered the student oration, speaking on the subject "Starting As An American The Ideal Commencement," followed by a class chorus of students of the second grade of the Hooper school singing "The Robin" and "The Swing1 Song" I .ir Halls complimented the students stu-dents on having completed their school work in the grade schools anil called their attention to the importance import-ance of education In thl day anil age no matter what calling they should deoldi on entering. Beautiful." which was followed fol-lowed iv Superintendent Fowler presenting pre-senting tin graduating .students with their graduation certificates. Professor Peterson spoko on education edu-cation as a preparation for the larger life upon which the students were r-n- terincr The speaker said that there wiro greater thing's than material success to lie desired .ill of which made for the well rounded life.
