Show oo- FARMERS ASKED TO SIGN TAX PETITION The tax committee of the T'tah St.itc Farm bureau has sent a number of printed petitions to the officials of tho Weber County Farm bureau to have them distributed In the various farming farm-ing r omrnunitlc.s of the county for signatures sig-natures and then returned to the tax committee at Salt Lake. The petitions state that during the past five yearn the public expendlures In the state have Increased 300 per cent and call attention to the fact that In tho schools alone the expenditures for 1919 were $6. 10". 415 37 compared to $8,358,534.15 In 1920 and $10,768.-S59 $10,768.-S59 26 In 1921 The petitions call upon up-on officials to reduce expenditures. According to the members of tho tax committee it La their purpose to require each public official in the state to explain definitely and in detail de-tail Just how public moneys havo been and are being expended and when such Information is gathered up and 1 tabulated to place It before tho pub- lie. |
