Show oo MAX FLACK, 'BEANED' IN SPRING, RECOVERS e CHICAGO, May 3. Max Flack, star outfielder for the Chicago Nationals, Na-tionals, recovered from the effect of being "beaned" on the spring training train-ing trip, fined for deserting the team after the accident, but now apparently apparent-ly satisfied, probably will appear In the Cub lineup at IMttaburg today. Max was great at Calallna Island until un-til he stopped one of Jones' wild shoots with his head He suffered i severe headaches anil thought his skull had been fractured. Because of that he returned home, despite the fact Manager Klllefer withheld permission for the trip. Flack's speed afield and on the bases has been a Cub asset in previous pre-vious seasons and Klllefer believes his last year's regular right fielder will fit In well with the veteran -rookie combination which so far has been the surprise of the National 11 jji league. |
