May 3 The arrival here of f" deputy .sheriffs from the north Is resented by the striking miners min-ers who have intimated hostility and leaders have declared that they will not stand for armed deputies patrolling patrol-ling the streets. He gave Colonel Williams his word that there will not bo anything done In violation of state city, countv or federal law.
