Jan. 25 Three are dead, one may die, and two are 111 from botulinus poisoning as iho rp'ult of eating preserved greens at a birthday birth-day dinner last Sunday nt the home! of Charles W. Tuttle at Cambridge. 10 miles north of here on tho tin road. Tuttle's family was virtually eiermi-nated eiermi-nated by the poison. The dead: HAZEL TUTTLE, 2f. ANDREW TUTTLE 20 BRYAN TUTTLE, 26, world war veteran. Critically ill: Charles W. Tuttle, 60, father of tho boys and girl. Seriously ill : Bessie Clare. Edward Russell, guests at tho Tuttle dinner. Cambridge physicians believe that Miss Clare and Russell ate so small a quantity of the gieens that the poison did not secure a firm hold upon them, according to Edward Utlfey, chief of police of WcIsct. The greens were preserved by Tuttle's Tut-tle's daughter. oo |
