Show ARMY DESIRES MORE OFFICERS General Staff Reports on Needs of Various Branches WASHINGTON'. Jan. 25. A study of the military establishment. Just ' completed by the general staff, has resulted in the decision that 16,652 commissioned officers will be needed when the regular sorvlce Is fully offl- j cered In each grade, the national 1 guard 1m perfected under federal regulations regu-lations and the organized reserves are finally completed, while the estimated 1 number to July 1 next year Is fixed at 13.000. A summary of the ultimate requirements require-ments shows that 2.521 officers will I be needed lor administrative funetion- ' , - - i , : i l i fi'-'tl mobilization and for tin1 educational system; for professional pro-fessional development of officers nnd i enlisted men specialises, 2.260 are re- ! quired, for duly v. ith the national! guard, organized reserves, training centers and reserve officers training, I 3,34 4 are needed; and for duty with the regular army in the United States Immediately available for an emergency, emer-gency, 5.063.
