Show PACIFIC COAST STEAMER COES AGROUND ON ROCK SAN FRANCISC) Feb. 5. The Steamer Klamath, bound from Sun FranciSCO tO Portland with passengers, passen-gers, went aground at Fish Rock, about 90 miles north of here early today, according to advices to the marine department of the chamber of commerce h re tals afternoon. Other than that the steanvr Cujracao was proceeding to tile Kl inuith's assistance, as-sistance, no details were given. The Marine exchange received a wireless report from Captain Hall of the Curaco that he was two miles from the Klamath and could see no signs of life aboard. The seas wero too heavy to admit of his going closer, he said. According to the marine department, depart-ment, the weather was reported bad in tho vicinity where tho Klamath grounded. Fish Rock Is a notoriously dangerous spot along the rocky northern north-ern California coast. The Klamath left Snn Francisco with passengers, but had no cargo.
