OCR Text	Show GAIN RECORDED IN SOFT COAL OUTPUT The production of soft coal recovered recov-ered appreciably during the first week, in January', according to a report re-' cejved today from the department of the Interior at Washington. The report re-port states that it is diflicult to interpret in-terpret tho total output of 7.460.000 tons because the New Year holiday (Monday, January 2) was observed in, some dl?tricts. but not in all. The average production per working day was approximately 1,487,000 net tons' as against 1.199,000 ton during Christ-j mas week
