At the same time Chairman Peek of the Industrial board made public a communication he had sent to Mr Hlnes calling on him to Bubmlt facts and figures to prove that steel prices agreed to by the board were too high and declining to urge steel manufacturers manufac-turers to reduce prices "merely upon the railroad administration's request " Members of the board had let it be known that tholr resignations had been In Secretary Redfield's hands for nearly a month, and that they were prepared to abandon the stabilltatJon program at once unless the railroad administration changed Its attitude. |
