Show Civics Students Look on City Court Work In charge of J. Q. Blaylock and J. M. Mills, Instructors of civics at the Weber Normal college, two civics classes -were present at police court this morning. Approximately 70 students stu-dents watched the handling of the cases. They were conducted through tho jail, following the court session. Considerable merriment was registered regis-tered by the classes when County At-toney At-toney Joseph Bates, in cross examining a defendant, asked: "You had to crawl through a barbed wire fence to enter the field, did you notyf" The defendant afiswered, "No, sir, I didn't climb through a fence," As an afterthought he added, "The gate was open." |
