Show Thinks Wilson Has No Chance If He Accepts Third Nomination James G. Gerard, formor United States ambassador to Germany, was an Ogden visitor for a short time yesterday yester-day en route to the Democratic convention con-vention at San Francisco. He was met at the local depot by representatives of tho Democratic party. Gerard said: "The battle for honors between the Republicans and Democrats next fall will be interesting. Possibilities of President Wilson runlng for a third term appear to be slight, but in my opinion his chances for nomination would not be considered." Gerard Is a likely candidate for the presidency, according to local Democrats. Demo-crats. Senator Pomorene and formor Govornor Gov-ornor Judson Harmon were nlso with tho Gerard party as was also J. "Ham" Lewis. T. J. Maglnnis was stationed at the same training camp with Sumner Gerard, son of tho former ambassador, during the war. Maglnnis was one of the local men that greeted the ambassador ambas-sador yesterday. |
