In the evening, the members of the Sacred Sa-cred Heart Alumnae association gio a reception to the graduates and their parents in the academy parlors Entertainment for ihe evening included includ-ed numbers from the Third Aca Jemic orchestra, a piano solo by Miss Gl ;ds Musgrave; a violin solo by Mrs. Marguerite Mar-guerite Toy Rich, who was accompanied accompan-ied by Miss Ccclle Kagan, and a solo by Mrs. J. P. Dlnneen. The parlors were decorated with roses and other flowers. The eve-ning eve-ning marked the forty-second annual commencement of the institution and many parents and friends were pres-' ent. The address to the. graduates was delivered by Rt. Rev. Joseph S. Glass. C. M. D. D. bishop of Salt .Lake, i - j Numbering about 75 machines, the j .Gypsy Tour taken by the members of the Salt Lake and the Ogden Motorcycle Motor-cycle club to South Fork canyon proved to bo one of the most enjoyable as well as one of the most successful I affairs. Games were enjoyed during j the entlro afternoon, field events claiming the attention of all. For the ' three legged race. G. H. Faulkner and C. Keeter of Ogden were winners. J. Solomon of Salt Lake claimed the one j hundred yard dash for the men. while , Mrs. Al Ward of Salt Lake claimed tho fifty yard dash for tho women; Mrs. C. Tripp of Salt Lake made the best time in tho Obstacle race. Art Schumanl won tho motorcycle slow race. Rider I coming the longest distance was H ' Krool of Milwaukee, with C. Martin of' Rook Island, ill., following second. After the games, a picnic luncheon was served. Flower Mission day will be held in Ogden Tuesday, June 22 by the members mem-bers of the local Women's Christian Temperance Union. On this day flowers flow-ers will bo sent to hospitals und public Institutions as well as to homes, where there arc children and where thero Is Illness. Flower mission day is one of the pretty customs remembered by tho W. C. T. U., the custom originating originat-ing from Jennie Casseday, who spent tho greater part of her life in suffering Ogden. Residents who wish to give flowers to tho W. C. T. U. have been asked to take them to the basement of tho First Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday. J, Jensen of the Weber Normal college and Mrs. Jensen left Tuesday for Berkeley,- California, where the professor will take summer work at the University. Following the completion of the school work. Professor Pro-fessor Jensen will visit in Southern California before returning to Ogden. Mrs. J. P. Dally arrived in Ogden during the week from Kansas City.
