Show I Special Trains With Vanguard of Delegates Start for San Francisco ! CHICAGO, Jim e 10. The advance J guard of Illinois Democrats to the national convention of the party at San Francisco on June 28, de-1 Darted tonight. The party included I1 former Gov. E. F. Dunne and Carter 1 H Harrison. On Sunday night a party of 125 including forty Chicago and downstate delegates and delegates dele-gates at large will depart on a special spe-cial train, i New York delegates, arrived here today from French Lick, Ind., and I will resume their journey tomorrow nrght. The party Included Gov.. A. F. Smith and Charles F. Murphy, Tammany chieftain. Thomas Tag-giu-t of Indiana, will join the part' ' tomorrow, j MriIurphy was asked if New York had any choice among the prospective prospec-tive candidates. 'We have no favorite," he replied. To the same question, Governor i Smith said: "Nobody can tell until the convention assembles at San Fiancisco. It looks to me. like a regular, straightaway, out and out Democratic convention and any-, any-, body's race." .The New Yorkers would not com-I com-I ment on the announcement by Wr. G. ' McAdoo that he must not be con- sidered for the nomination. It was reported . that the Illinois delegation would support Senator Carter Glass of Virginia, for chairman chair-man of the resolution committee and Bainbridge Colby, secretary of state, for permanent chairman of the I convention. Maine Delegation Leaves' BOSTON, June 10. The Maine delegation to the Democratic national convention at San Francisco left here today. The party numbered 20. The Massachusetts' delegation will leave in thnee parties during the next day or two. Officials Start Out WASHINGTON. June 10.
