At the Aqueduct race Hack today Samuel C Hildreth's four-year-old bay colt Cirrus, Cir-rus, by Tracery-Mornlngslde, won tho thirty-second running of the historic Brooklyn handicap. The distance, one and one-eighth miles, vas covered in ' 1 :f0. just three-fifths of a second slower than the record made by Bor-I Bor-I row in this event three years ago Boniface, owned by Commander J. K. : L. Ross of Canada, was second, and j the winner's stable companion. Mad Hatter, finished third. j Tho winner, well ridden by Jockey L. Ensor. was the first to show in front; (after the start, but soon relinquished the lead to his stablo mate, Mad Hatter, Hat-ter, while the favorite, Wildair, was shuffled back into the ruck and Boniface Boni-face was restrained In last place. There was little change In running positions until tho turn was reached, (where Cirrus overtook Mad Hatter. Then Boniface moed up along the rail. In tho final eighth Cirrus drcwi I away to a two-length lead, but was1 doing his best at the end to withstand I Boniface's ruch. Mad Hatter, eighti 1 lengths behind, took third honors overi Exterminator, while Ianius. Tho Por-I tor and Wildair finished in tho order named.
