Show BOOTS DO NOT ALWAYS SIGNIFY SOMETHING WET i Foiled again. Bootleggers arc scarco articles nowadays, according to Robert Chambers of the local police force. Chambers, in company with Walter Moore, put in their appearance ap-pearance at the Union depot today to-day with eyes ready for a great catch. The passengers on Train 21 departing de-parting from their train entered the Union station through tho tunnel with Chambers on one side and Moore on tho oposite. Both officers waited and watched, but the developments failed to materialize. Finally a gent with a heavy suitcase in one hand, a rain coat and a pair of rubber boots in tho other, ontered the station. By this time the officers had given up hope when some unbeknown unbe-known bellored forth, "There ho is, pipo the boots." But investigation revealed tho fact that tho boots wero entirely of dry nature and so the traveler was allowed to co on his journey. rn |
