Before the I work is laid out, the surface of the I bamboo Is treated by a rubbing process I which proceeds with the aid of a I brick of fine clay and the operation I tukes place under water. After It la I curelully dried It Is turned over to the I artist who marks out the design from I one workman to another as Indicated I above. |
