Show PAGEANT MARKS PLIJiTy DAY Symbolic Spectacle With Little Ones in the Sast Seen by Large Crowd The most Interesting and attractive feature of the Pioneer day celebration held at Plain City was the pageant. "The Birth ana Growth of Mormon- 1 5sm" presented In the amusement hall by the children of the ward primary j association The pageant consisted of songs, readings and tableaux Great I praise was Riven the children for their 'excellent presentation and much credit la duo those who trained the children The day was opened by an artill- ry I salute after which the band serenaded the town. The pageant by the children occupied the greater part of the morning morn-ing and was witnessed by the large majority of the citizens. Sports were tho main attractions during the afternoon and consisted of I spearing of rings bv mounted men boxing, foot races and a basehall name between Kden and Plain City The I latter resulte.l In victory for Eden, the score being 14 to 18. A grand ''all In the evening brought the eventful day to a close. |
