Commission houses and pit speculators did most of ihe selling. The' volume, however, wa not layge and the market showed considerable power to rally. Opening prices, which ranged from to ftc lover, with May $1.47 to 1.-17 and JuVy $1.41 to 1.47. were followed by moderate further declines and (hen something of a general reaction. Oats lacked any aggressive support. After opening Va to c down, including includ-ing July at 75c, the market sagged a lit.l more, and then tended " to recover. re-cover.
