Show Halstead Case j In District Court In the suit for separate maintenance, mainten-ance, ln the case of Lily V. Hastead ftpainst E. O. Halstead. on trial In the district court yesterday, the matter has been taken under advisement by Jud;;c- A. E. Pratt. The hearing ln the case was filled with some spicy testimony of the mat rimonlal relations of the couple and some of thp remarks of the plaintiff brought forth smiles among tho attaches at-taches of the court. Mrs. Halstead testified that, on one night, she went to a point east of the city cemetery, where she found her husband In company with another J woman The witness said that when she drew a revolver, "If there ever was a pistol dance, they sure -did i' " She added that Halstead struggled with her for the revolver and. dunn. i the struggle, she bit her husband on the arm "as hard as I could with my false teeth." The witness told of a ladles' auxil-I auxil-I lary organization of which she was a number, that dropped her from the membership because of the proceedings proceed-ings ln the case against her husDand. |
