Show Wrecks Occur on I Road South of I armington! SALT LAKE. Aug 18. Ten persons ;were slightly injured early yesterday , morning in two crashes on the Farm-1 inerton road The first occurred at 1 1:30 o'clock when an automobile j driven by Ray Sullivan. 769 Emerson avenue rolled over three times one fourth of a mile north of the sheriffs blockhouse Charles McPhea, 22 Smith apartments sustained two fractured ;ribs and Miss Marie Harvev, 17 West Seventh South street suffered face i lacerations as a result of the mishap I Miss Ethel McLain, 819 West Sixth I street. Ray Sullivan and Miss Kather-;ino Kather-;ino Burns, 819 South Sixth East street, i escaped with severe brulsrs. i Sullivan declares he was blinded by the glare from an automobile going in the opposite direction and drove off I the concrete to avert an accident In turning back to the road the front wheels struck the edge of the concrete causing the car to overturn. According Accord-ing to Deputy Sheriff W. H. Hughes jwho in estimated the accident, the fact J i hat the victims were riding in a closed car undoubtedly saved their lives. R. R. Brooks, on his way to town in the Sullivan car an hour later, drove his automobile into a hayrack carry-inc carry-inc a party of young folks, who were on a watermelon "bust." J.
