Professor Hinchcliffe stated todaj that some real talent in musical lint was often allowed to waste whn the students graduated from the high, school. Many former band members, I who attained quite a degree of effi-j ciency while attending the school, have! since dropped their musical studies, not bec;iue they wished to drop them but because they had no organization which would assist them to continue their work. It is thought that at least fifty members mem-bers can be obtained for such a band as Profesior 'Hinchcliffe proposes, according ac-cording to n former student at tho high sehool. and it Is expected that the Alumni band will put forth its appear ance within the next few uays. Former band students Interested in the proposition may obtain further par ilculars by calling on Professor Hinchcliffe Hinch-cliffe at the high sihool oo |
