Show oo NEW PBLICy FOR RADIO CONTROL WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 A new policy pol-icy for control and development of radio ra-dio communication- was laid before congress today by Secretary Daniels It provides for maintenance of ooth naval and private stations, with the latter under control of a national radio ra-dio commission and proposes i upi n existing or new stations to general public correspondence iates to be fixe d by navy department and congress. General Gen-eral public trans-oceanic correspond ence through these stations would not be permitted, except during the suspension sus-pension of private service. l'ri":te radio stations would be licensed by I the national radio commission, and i their affairs, apparatus, operators and transmission rates would be under supervision su-pervision of the commission which would be composed ot four members j and a secretary appointed by the president, pres-ident, with representatives from the navy, war. commerce and post oft,ce departments.
