Samuel Oompers, president of the American Federation of Labor, is confined to his home here in a stale of nervous exhaustion. ex-haustion. His temperature this meaning mean-ing was 101 degrees and his physician has ordered him to remain in bed. Announcement of Mr Gompers' breakdown was made by Us secretary when the national conference convened con-vened today He issued the following follow-ing statement "Mr. Oompers returned home from the industrial conference last evening very greatly exhausted and went immediately im-mediately to bed.
