Show BANK ROBBERS CAUGHT I HIM CITY BRIGHAM CITY, Oct. 12 fine of the men suspected of robbing the Men denhall bank at Springvllle in broad I daylight last Wednesday, together w ith u woman said to be h,s v, fe, bcinc held at Provo, while the other lwo men suspected and a v onun have been arrested at La Grande, Ore. Liberty bonds to the amount of J2850 were found concealed in the shoes of the man arrested at Brlgham CitJ when he was searched in the local Jail by R C Willey, renrr sentative ot thf' I Aetna Insurance company Seven bun I jdred and twenty dollars in currency was found on him when be was first arrested One of the bonds, No. I 1404184, was identified by Guy V. Men- ' cenhall, cashier of the banK which was! lobbed. Mr Mender.hall also positively positive-ly identified the man who gave his name as Frank Smith, as he man who stood at the door of the bank while the other two robbed the bank and locked him in the bank. Sheriff Williams of Utah countv and Mr. Wllley left here ton ght for La Grande. Ore., to return the suspects apprehended there, after ner descrip tion had bren wired from '.hi citv by Sheriff Williams. The numbers of their tickets which were -o Seattle, and bag gage had been secured from Pocatello through the taxi driver who drove them from Malad to Pocatello The suspect gave their names ag James Miller, William Underwood and Mrs. E. M. McCarthy. Sheriff Taylor of Ls c.ranae sent the Information that b- carried eonsidcrab'e sums of noney and firearms. The woman was carrying a pmall white dog. |
