Show WQMEW TO STUDY , COOKERY IT SCHOOL ' UTAH AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, iogan, utan, sepi. z An exceptional 1 opportunity for women to study institutional insti-tutional cookery will bo offered at tho Utah Agricultural college this year through the college cafeteria, according accord-ing to an announcement Just mado by Professor Alice Ravenhill, director of the school of homo economics at the college. In order to take care of the , students not members of the Students' Army Training Corps at the Institution Institu-tion and of tho college faculty the school of homo economics has taken over the management of the college cafeteria, which will now bo operated In the Women's building. Here two dining rooms are being fitted up with all modorn cafeteria appliances and a model cafeteria will be conducted. Th03e women at tho Institution who desire to prepare as cafeteria managers, mana-gers, as managers of hospital dining rooms, tea rooms in largo departmnt stores and for similar positions will be ablQ to do much of their laboratory work in connection with tho cafeteria. Miss Melissa Hunter, a graduate of tho University of Indiana will be the. export in charge of this work. Miss1 Hunter was student assistant in tho cafeteria at tho University of Indiana during part of her graduato work. She has acted as government food export and during the summer just past sho was assistant food manager of tho Y. M. C. A. cafetorla Camp Dining hall, at Estos park, Colorado, whore women wore trained for Y. M. C. A. war work. "Throughout the East and Middle West many women aro enthusiastically taking up the Btudy of cooking on a largo scale for Institutions," said Miss Iluntor, in commenting upon the great opportunities in the West for this new vocation. "The Utah agricultural col-lego col-lego Is the first western institution to undortake this work. I am sure from a survey made here that many openings open-ings exist for the woman properly trained in Institutional cookery. Especially Es-pecially should tho work prove popular at present, when so many trained wo -' men are needed to manago canteens In France. "This offers to tho patriotic young woman an opportunity at once interesting inter-esting and valuable to serve hor country. coun-try.
