Show POLICE SEEKING BANDIT G. KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 25 With Important information in their possession posses-sion concerning the alleged Jones -Lewis bandit gang obtained from persons per-sons arrested late last night after the killing yesterday of "Kansas City Blackio" Lancaster in a pistol fight with more than fifty policemen, the authorities today were searching the city for other members of tho alleged band. One of those taken into custody for questioning is Harry Lancaster, a brother, bro-ther, and another is a woman said to have been the sweetheart of tho dead man, Roscoo, more usually known as Roy Lancaster. What information these persons gave tho police was not disclosed but it was known that a largo party of officers, of-ficers, armed with rloi guns, was out the greater part of the night. The destination of the officers was not announced. an-nounced. Warren Lancaster, brother of 'Roscoo. 'Ros-coo. taken Into custody during tho fight with the police, told the police that his brother had had a part in the gun fight in Colorado Springs, Colo., ton days ago in which one police officer of-ficer was killed and several wounded. Coroner W. IT. Coffey reported today that five bullet wounds had been found in Roscoo Lancaster's right log, all made by bullots of small caliber. On tho right side of his head was a scalp wound. The wounds appear to have been received recently, Coroner Coffey Cof-fey said. |
