Show r - j CMcago Quotations V J CHICAGO, Sept. 17 Embargoing of all terminal markets aaginst accumulating accumu-lating grain unless storage room has been provided for had a bearish ef- feet today on corn. The fact that) storage facilities in Chicago arc still ample implied that receipts, here would bo heavily enlarged. Commission houses were the chief sellers. Opening Open-ing prices, which ranged from c decline de-cline to VjC advance, with October $1.53 to 1.539J and November $1.49 to lA0s, were lnllowod by a decided general setback but then by .a good rally. Active shipping demand gave strength to oats. There was no pressure pres-sure to soil. After opening unchanged to Vi(&c higher with October 72 to 73c, the market reacted a little and then again advanced. Provisions weakened with corn but rallied sharply. The upturn was ascribed as-cribed to improved cash inquiry.
