Tho first named eleven , has defeated Montana Aggies, University Univer-sity of Colorado and the Colorado Ag- gies, while the latter has met but one' eleven, tho University of Utah, and is therefore only credited with one victory. vic-tory. ' This gives the edge to the Ministers with their three hard-earned wins, but the Tigers are coming right along and the game between these two elevens on , Thanksgiving day should be a classic. ', There is also one other eleven which, I although not considered a conference team In the fullest accepted meaning I of tho term, may yet havo to be rec- i koned with tho Logan Aggies. Coach Watson has a wonderful little aggregation aggre-gation in tow and from what wo can learn has never really been turned loose. Denver Has Breaks. i Denver has been followed all through its games with the breaks. It is true ' as a rule that tho goddess of luck I S usually lonows a cnampionsnip team and many declare that it Is not luck at all but good football. In the Montana gamo penalties and fumbles put tho Ministers within scoring scor-ing distance three times. The Colorado Colo-rado game was won by Denver when it got a fumblo near the goal line in the last three minutes of play. In their contest last week with tho former champions, the Aggies, the latter eleven elev-en gained eighty more yardB than did Denver. The Farmers also wore on the Denver 10-yard line twice when they lost first down by Inches. Again in the Inst few minutes of play Coaoh Flko's team threw forward passes galore ga-lore and right in the shadows of thoir goal posts. If this Is good football when a team Is four points ahead, then luck is good football. Coach Hughes of the Colorado Aggies Ag-gies has Introduced an innovation In regard to coaching. The mentor has an expert stenographer present at every ev-ery game and dictates tho mistakes of his men. He has notes on every play and during tho week he can toll his material why and where they made er rors. |
