Show NOT TO PLAY ON CITY HILL PARK According to a statement of Commissioner Com-missioner Miles L. Jones, it is not probable that the citizens of Ogden who love music will have the privilege privi-lege of hearing the cliy band at the city hall park this summer, though the band will probably give concerts at Glenwood park. Instead of one concert con-cert at each of the two parks, as was given last summer, the band will play only one program. "We propose to meet with the manager man-ager of the municipal musical organization." organi-zation." the commissioner said, "and hope to reach an agreement whereby the musicians will give concerts at Glenwood park every Sunday afternoon. after-noon. According to our plan the musical mu-sical program will be composed main-, )y of patriotic airs, interspersed with classical selections. It is not probable that we will give the concerts on the city hall park, limiting the concerts to one, which will be given at Glenwood. The programs, however, will be longer long-er This arrangement, we believe, will meet with the approval of the majority major-ity of Ogden citizens." |
