Show oo PONY SOLD AT THE ELEPHANT SALE The White Elephant sale has been a very busy place this week. Monday and Tuesday were good days u tho cash register records. The sales of the White Elephant have rounded the $700 mark this morning and the faces of the young ladies in charge are wreathed wreath-ed in smiles. The omnipresent shoplifters were so eager to avail themselves of some of the choice bargains yosterday that the young women resorted to tho police for protection and due of Ogden's nn-esl nn-esl stood on duly all day. Yesterday tho auction resulted in a crowd gathering in the room but the people were so much interested in the entertainment furnished by the auctioneer that they forgot the bargains. bar-gains. A goodly number of dollars, j however, steadily flowed into the till. The auctioneer and novelty parade j was furnished by the Ogden Horse Saleft company. The men also auction - j ed the pony donated by Mr. Halo of 1371 Washington avenue. Mr. Hale took the pony to the saddlers and purchased pur-chased a fine boy's saddle and bridle. The pon and his saddle sold to Mr. Greenwell for $80. |
