Show FOURTEEN CANDIDATES FOE OFFICE AT THE COMING CITY PRIMARY ELECTION With all petitions filed with the city recorder of candidates for municipal munici-pal offices in the coming elections, there remains now hardly anything to await but the pramaries of October Octo-ber 23. The last registration day before be-fore the primary wih be next Tuesday, Tues-day, October 16. One must be registered regis-tered to participate In a primary election, elec-tion, so this date will mean the final chance of those wishing to help eliminate candidates at the primary election. The last registration date will be October 30. Election comes Tuesday, November 6. Fourteen candidates for the four municipal offices open have announced an-nounced themselves. Eliminations at the primaries will have to account for all but two candidates for each office. The race will then be between the two nominees selected. The list ol candidates follows: For mayor A. R. Heywood, pres ent Incumbent; S. A. Israelson Socialist; T. Samuel Browning and Frank Francis. For four-year commissioner Chris Flygare, present incumbent; Job Pin gree, Jr., A. E. Weatherby, George Ranson, Socialist. For city auditor Arthur Larson present incumbent; G. L. Malan Socialist; Leroy Farley and John W Reeve. For municipal judge George S Barker, present Incumbent; W J Stone, socialist. The petitions of the four Socialist! were filed yesterday just within th time limit. |
