Show CONGRESSMAN IS' QUITE OUTSPOKEN PHILADELPHIA. OcL 13. Representative Repre-sentative J. Thomas Heflln of Alabama, Ala-bama, speaking at a Columbus day celebration by the Knights of Columbus Colum-bus here last night, declared that any man who is not now giving his wholehearted whole-hearted support to the commander-in-chief of our armies and navy is a traitor to his country. "If we arrest a man on a streot corner for haranguing a crowd against this country's participation in tho war," said Mr. Heflln, "we ought to arrest a inembor of congress who does the same thing on a larger scale and causes the nations abroad to think there is dissension in the United States." oo |
