Show REPAIR WEEK FOR TI icnv 6i THE FARM Manager I. E. Duffin. of tho local branch of the Consolidated Wagon & Machine company, advises that the federal government, supported by the National Implement and Vehicle Association, As-sociation, having in view Increased production in farm products, Is encouraging en-couraging a movement to be known as "National Implement Inspection and have set aside tho first week in March. Tho principal matters to be considered as follows: 1. To go carefully over all farm machinery ma-chinery and equipment with a view of learning as to repairing necessities, listing repairs by number tJiat may bo needed and to immediately purchase theso repairs from tho dealer, and failing fail-ing to do so to place with him an order or-der insisting on his obtaining them at! the earliest possible date, 2. Where equipment and machinery needs repairing by blacksmiths, it should receive attention by tho first week in March. 3. Where farmers, after inspecting machinery already on hand, find that it is going to be necessary to purchase new machinery, they should be urged to placo their orders with dealers during dur-ing the first week In March. This applies ap-plies not only to tillage tools and seeding seed-ing tools needed during the early part o tho year, but harvesting machinery and all other farm equipment. If the suggestion herein Is followed, it will assist materially in overcoming decreased production 6f faim products prod-ucts on account of lack of equipment. The right price and scarcity of labor prevailing at this time makes it important impor-tant that the farmer prevent as far as possible any waste of labor through delays, on account o incomplete or insufficient in-sufficient farm equipment. |
