Show UTAH MEN ARE FOR CONSCRIPTION WASHINGTON, April 23, William Spry of Utah was In Washington to-dav, to-dav, stopping over on his way to New York City. While here he called on members of the Utah delegation and relatives. Mr. Spry favors the conscription con-scription plan of raising an army and also believes that our government should send an army to Europe as soon as practicable. "We believe that the war should be fought vigorously and that the United States should put forth all of its energies ener-gies and support the allies," the former for-mer governor said. Another Utahn who called upon the Utah delegation, was John A. Foulkes of Salt Lake. Speaking of the war he said: "When I came east a few days ago I was opposed to conscription. But tho enthusiasm I have seen in the east has amazed and converted me to the plan of universal service as proposed by the war department and the president." pres-ident." M,r. and Mrs. William R.
