Show MORE MEN FROM THE ' COUNT IRE TO BE SELECTED Two men, no residents of Weber county, were examined today by the county draft board examining physicians physi-cians and both were rejected for physical phys-ical Teasons. They were Richard Mc-Farlano Mc-Farlano of Rupert, Idaho, and Arthur Earley of Salt Lake City. McFarlano is blind in one eye and Earley is minus several teeth. The two men had se-j cured transfers for physical examina-J tlon from the towns where they registered. regis-tered. The county board will meet on Friday Fri-day for Its Inst session as an oxanip-tion oxanip-tion board for the first quota of sixty men needed by the government. The meeting Friday will be for the purpose pur-pose of selecting one more regular and the ten per cent surplus needed. Ten men, however, will be secured for the surplus, making it a little greater than ten per cent as the board members are inclined to believe this number will be needed. Firty-nine men have been cortified to the district board by the local board out of the first quota of 120 which was drawn for examination. Of theseeond quota of sixty men, fifty-three have filed claims of exemption and seven have been declared physically unfit for service and have been rejected. The board will consider the claims of this fifty-three on Friday. Notices were mailed last night to the fifty-nine men selected for service out df the first quota drawn and they will hold themsolyes in readiness for the call. oo |
