Friday afternoon, March 9, a most interesting election svas held at the Ogden High school to determine who should reign as queen of the Classicalia Classi-calia March 17 t'apitola I'ingree. Venus Ve-nus Williams. Leonore Sorsb and Thelma Then, four popular vouiik ladies, la-dies, were selected as candidates. In( the final count Miss Leonore Merrick Sorshy received the majority oi vote b Mi-s Sorsby was born in Washing ton, D. C, October 26, 1901. bu is a charming Southerner, her mother having been born In Virginia and her father in Mississippi. Both came from distinguished families Mr. Sorsby was United States minister to South America from 1890 to 19'i7. Leonore is now residing with her aunt, Mrs. A. Mark Smith, 2438 Madison avenue While attenuing the Hol Cross academy in Washington in 1915 Miss Sorsby acted as queen once before. With this experience, combined with her natural grace and beauty, she should act the role assigned to her perfectly The coronation of Her Majesty will ( be i he most picturesque event of tne evening After majestically wending her way to the throne, with the Misses Miss-es Marcia Wood and Helen Becker acting act-ing as train bearers, Queen Leonore will meet her maids of honor, Mildred Smith, Katharine Becker.
