Show CLAIMS WILL WAS ; TAMPERED WITH i Edward Morrison's Stepmother Stepmoth-er Testifies In Case Before Chicago Court. Chicago, Sept. 13 The will of James M. Morrison, whoso $8,000,000 estate is involved in the bankruptcy proceedings against his son, Edward M. Morrison, was tampered with, Mrs. Phelo R. King, Morrison's step-mother, testified in the hearing before Federal Judge Landls today. The word "forever," she said, has been inserted in the will now on file. I, The word does not appear in the orig-inal orig-inal document, a copy of which she saved from the Chicago fire in 1S71. The substitution of the word, she test!- fled, changes the entire meaning of the clause under which the property has been conveyed to Morrison. The original will, she said, did not convey the property "forever" but only during Edward Morrison's life. If Edward Morrison dies without children, the will directs that the estate shall go to the city of Chicago for educational purposes. Morrison recently adopted two girls, who, their reputed father, Joseph Burnstein, a junk dealer, said Morrison was their real father. |
