Show YELLOWSTONE PARK STAGE ROBBERY Cheyenne, Wyo., April 12 Charles ESpehbach an Idaho ranchman, who is charged with having perpetrated the sensational Yellowstone park Ptage robberies last summer, tv ill be tried in Sheridan Tuesday at a special spe-cial term of the United Slates dls trict court, which is to be held in that city. Judge .1 A Rlner and other court officials left for Sheridan today. The rase against Epenb&cb is remarkable re-markable in that identification of th robber rests upon a snapshot photo ! graph of him which vvas taken by aj woman passenger on one of the stages which he held up Fpenbach. who previously had not been suspect-ed suspect-ed of the holdups, was arrested on the strength of this photograph and was indicted by a United States grand jury sitting in Lander last October. He was to have been tried at the No vcmber term of the federal court, but obtained a continuance. He Is at liberty lib-erty under bond. Epenbach denies any knowledge of the Yellowstone holdups. The holdups were sensational. Sixteen sepamt" stages were stopped by the robber, who is alleged to have had an accomplice. |
