Show I IMPORTANT SALE 1 PLANNED By I WRIGHTS I There is probably a, no more im- J ' : portant merchandising event' planned by any store in the state I , of Utah than the yearly Anniver- I sary Sales which arc arranged I each spring by Wrights' Store. I The fact that one store has done business in one town with in-1 I creasing success for forty years, is in itself a mighty valuable advertising ad-vertising fact and Wrights certainly cer-tainly make the most of this feature fea-ture by malting remarkable bargain bar-gain offerings to comply with the J year. The average person has no con-I con-I ception of the work and careful i planning which are necessary to stage even such offerings as will J be held at the big store this week. It is not a sale in which the or-dinary or-dinary merchandise is offered at ; jj a reduction, but special merchan dise is bought some times as f ar as j I a year ahead in order that the sale may be one of more than ordinary or-dinary merit. Take the souvenir plates alone as an example. These come from one of the great factories in Eng-hind Eng-hind and before the order is finally final-ly given, the design for the plate i is sent to England in the form of a rough sketch. The factory aril ar-il tist makes it up in a pencil sketch which is submitted for approval, this sketch is then returned with I the necessary corrections and an-another an-another final proof submitted for final approval.. When the design !i is finally decided upon the plates are put into work and nearly a, year is required to complete them and deliver them in America. The plate which is being dis- j tributed to customers of the store , this year is the fifth of a set of j l six which will be given, next year i j being the last. Many customers who have secured, the complete set to date are very proud of the j unique collection, which will nat- j urally increase in value as they grow older. |
