In response to Inquiries from the slate department depart-ment the Villa authorities at (iiihua hua have given assurances that the new mining regulations are intended to prevent the purchase of idle miu-lng miu-lng properties by speculators The department Issued a statement today which says: "With reference to the new mining law the department Is Informed thai It is not the intention of the authen ties at Chihuahua to Injure all legitimate legiti-mate mining Industries and that each company or individual may make r ; resentatlons to the minister of fomen-to fomen-to at chihuahua and secure exemption from the provisions of the recent decree de-cree if such exemption Is thought to be justified. "The department is in receipt of an official report on this mining decree in which It is stated that it appears to be advi:-;ahle fur mining men. especially es-pecially those who have w orking properties, prop-erties, to lake up the matter at once in Chihuahua." |
