Show : C0H1TW IN CITY BUG J' The remodeling of the lavatories in the basement of the Carnegie library is now nearly completed and the rooms will be opened for the use of the library patrons at an early date. Thejuwill be equipped with the most modern fixtures and the walls have been re-tinted and tile floors have been laid. The appearance of the basement has also been changed recently by the utilization of the large room on the south side, by Custodian Jv A. Wear, as a flower conservatory. A11 of the Ivies, geraniums, lilies, and other oth-er plants that flourish in the open only during the warm weather, have been moved from their beds on the library li-brary grounds to the conservatory and are being carefully tended by Mr. Wear, for use again next year, outside. out-side. The oustodian has a fine collection, collec-tion, many of tho plants having been brought here from California and other oth-er parts of the country. oo |
