Show BODY OF BABY IS I FOUND IN PASTURE Salt Lake. April 16 The bod of a now-born baby girl wrapped in a bundle of old linen was found in a pasture at Thirteenth South ant Ninth East streets yesterday morning by Joseph David. 10-year-old son of Mrs. Fredrica David of Holliday. The boy was driving a cow into the pasture pas-ture when he stopped to open the ounaie ana discovered the body Running to bis home the boy told his mother of his find and in turn the police were notified. The pas lure where the body was found was outside the city limits, however, and the case was placed in the hands nt Sheriff John S. Oorless, who went to the s ene with I, R Martineau, Jr.. acting coroner It developed from the story told the sheriff by the David lad that th.- body had been in the pas lure for nearly a week, the boy having hav-ing seen the bundle last Monday After the body was removed to the Qualtrougb-Alcott undertaking estab-! estab-! Mshmont it was shown that the bab hail been dead for nearly ten days and had probably died of natural causes, there bcine, nothing to indicate indi-cate violence. A careful examination of the linen in which the body was wrapped failed to rceal any clew that mirrht bad to the discovery of the parents of the rhild The sheriff Is inclined to believe that the baby died soon after birth and that the parents, probably prob-ably poor, had taken this means of disposing of the body AO |
