Show CANTATA PROVES ! TO BE 1 SUCCESS At a meeting of the committee having hav-ing in charge the cantata and musical program, recently given in the Seventh, Sev-enth, Eighth, Tenth and Lynne wardB, held this week, final reports of the different sub-committees were made, showing that the entertainment had been well received whenever presented and a good sum netted towards the purchase of a moving picture machine for the school buildings In the Mound Fort and Five PointB school districts The excellent showing made by the children was remarked upon by all. The following resolution was presen ted and unanimouslv adopted: ' Resolved. Thai thp aonrpclation nf the committee be extended to all who contributed to the success of the entertainment, en-tertainment, to the ward authorities for the use of the buildings, to the teachers in the Mound Fort and Five Points schools for their labor in training train-ing children in different numbers; to the orchestra for music furnished at each performance: and to Mrs Hoist and Mr. Kenley for assisting with numbers on the program. "Resolved, That special appreciation is due Miss Minnie Brown for numbers num-bers given on the program and for her splendid work in training the children chil-dren for the cantata, 'The Enchanted Wood.' This, the leading feature of the program, was most satisfactorily presented and gave evidence of Miss Brown's aptitude for assembling and conducting children in this class of entertainment " j- |
