Show MAXWELL FACTORIES e THEIR RECORD The Maxwell Motor company broke all Its records for production when 532 cars were turned out of Its big Detroit plant on Saturday, August 26. While this is the biggest day the company ever experienced in the vol- I' ume of Its output of automobiles, it exceeded the day previous by only i a slight margin. On Friday, August t 25, 60i automobiles were turned out , of the Dotrolt factory. 1 This Is only an indication of the I great volume of business that Is being done by the Maxwell company. There ?, has been an increase of 100 per cent j. in the daily output of the company. Tho average production at the Oak- -land avenue plant in Detroit Is now 400 cars a day and has been for the j! last month. A year ago the average I was only 200 cars a day. : A great increase in the demand for ; Maxwell cars followed the generous reduction in prices on tho touring car j i and roadster that became effective .' I July 1 last, and that the factories are j able to meet the demand is due to ( j the fact that increased manufactur- ;' ing facilities have recently been in- ' I stalled, 5 All Maxwell cars aro assembled in J the plant at Detroit, while most of ft? tne parts are manufactured in the company's factories at Dayton, Ohio, and Newcastle, Ind. The factories at I jj Dayton and Newcastle are now sup- plying the Detroit plant with 400 com- plete units every day. I The recent addition of a new pro- s gressive assembly track and a new body assembly track has enabled the 3 Detroit factory to turn out cars at an .' I Increased speed.
