Show BEAVERS LOSE TO SEALS 6 TO 2 Kallio Pitches Good Game and Brings San Francisco Out Ahead. Portland, Ore., Sept. 9. A series of bungles and an epidemic of heavy swatting shoved the Portland Beavers Beav-ers down a notch and the San Francisco Fran-cisco Seals up a notch today. Score: Portland 2, San Francisco 6. The majority ot the Seal runs were due to bungles, while Portland's tallies tal-lies were forced. Kallio, in the box for the Seals, allowed only five hits and fanned thirteen, Hagerman and Reuther for the Beavers yielded twelve. In the opening round Calvo opened with a two-ply swat and gained third on bungle No. 1, a wild pitch. He scored on a single by Schaller. In the third with two men on the bags, Coffey Cof-fey doubled to center and scored one of them. In the fifth Bodie went safe on Rodgers' error and scored on a double by Downs. Jones then beat out a hit to Reuther and on Reuther's wild throw to first Downs scored. In the sixth Schaller and Wilio both walked and Downs doubled to the left field fence, scoring Schaller. Up to this time the Beavers had been hanging up goose eggs. With the bases full, Evans forced Reuther at second, Jones to Downs, Rodgers scoring. Again in the eighth, with the bases full, Reuther walked, forcing forc-ing in Howard. The Seals made their sixth tally in the ninth on another bungle. Brooks reached second when Evans overthrow first and scored on Calvo's single over short. Kallio fanned Wllie, Southworth and Roche thrice apiece. Up to the seventh sev-enth he allowed only one hit.
