Show AUSTRIAN NOTE PLEASES BERLIN Berlin, July 16, by wireless to Say-ville. Say-ville. Among the news items given out by the Overseas News agency today to-day was the following: "Tho German newspapers continue generally to express high satisfaction regarding the Austro Hungarian note to the United States in the matter of war munitions. The note Is considered con-sidered a testimony of the good will and shrewd political judgment of tho Teutonic allies. "The Vosslsche Zeltung hopes that the strong neutrality argument will Impress and convert President Wilson Wil-son as ex-Secretary of State Byran was converted before. The newspaper says that the United States now has a golden opportunity to show its readiness read-iness to observe a true neutrality in spirit, but it is skeptical about the effect the note will have." |
