Show WAR TAX STAMPS ARE NOT REQUIRED Members of foreign embassies, or legations, or members of their household, house-hold, according to a notice received yesterday by General Agent Frank Fouts of the Denver & Rio Grande, are to be exempted from the payment of a war tax on steamship tickets issued is-sued to them. Tho exemption also extends to consuls of foreign countries, coun-tries, except when they enter the United States on private business and then purchase a ticket to their posts of duty. The notice, which w.as issued by the United Fruit company's steamship service passenger traffic department, also states that no war tax stamp is required on tickets issued to omploycs of the United States government traveling on official business or under un-der conditions which involve reimbursement reim-bursement by the govornment of their traveling expenses. Such employes, however, when traveling at their own expense will be required to pay the war tax on passage tickets. 00 |
