Fpd 1 Johnny Griffiths, Grif-fiths, local lightweight, outpointed Freddie Welsh, the champion. In a twelve-round bout here tonight, ac-cording ac-cording to the majority of newspaper P men who saw the fight. No deci sion wua given. The fighting was fast and Grit- liths' advantage, if any, was only a 3 shade. He showed particularly well in the seventh and eighth rounds, and t was very fast in the first six rounds.
